1. Reports provided by Coupler.io

Profile reports

  • Profile Insights: Totals - Offers an overview of total counts for various metrics such as impressions, engagements, clicks.
  • Profile Insights: By Day - Provides daily insights, showcasing how your profile metrics change over time.
  • Profile Insights: By Media Product Type - Breaks down insights based on the type of content (e.g., photo, video, carousel).
  • Profile Insights: By Follow Type - Reach by followers and non-followers, # of follows and unfollows for the period.
  • Profile Insights: By Contact Button Type - Offers data on how users interact with contact buttons on your profile.
  • Profile Insights: By Media Product Type and Follow Type - A combined analysis of how different content types affect follow metrics.
  • Profile Followers: Daily Breakdown (Last 30 Days Only) - Provides a daily snapshot of follower metrics for the past month.
    • Note: Instagram does not allow to get followers gain trend for dates earlier than 30 days ago.
  • Profile Insights: By Demography - Offers demographic data of your followers, engaged & reached audiences, such as age, gender, and location.

Post reports

  • Post Insights: All Posts - Comprehensive insights for all posts, including impressions, engagements, and reach.
  • Post-engagement Follow-up: Profile Interactions Breakdown - Analyzes how post interactions contribute to profile visits and other actions.

Story reports

Note: data available within 24 hours - it is Instagram API limitation.

  • Post Insights: Story Insights (24h) - Insights for stories, including views, exits, profile activity
  • Story-engagement follow-up: Profile Interactions Breakdown (24h) - Examines how story engagements lead to profile interactions within the first 24 hours.
  • Post Insights: Story navigation by action type (24h) - Breaks down profile interactions from stories by type.

2. Metrics and Dimensions each report provides

Coupler.io's Instagram Insights integration supports a wide array of metrics and dimensions, allowing for in-depth analysis of your Instagram data. Metrics refer to the quantitative measures (e.g., impressions, engagements), while dimensions provide the context for metrics (e.g., post type, follower demographics).

3. Set up Instagram Insights integration

Step 1: Source Application

Select "Instagram Insights" as your source application to begin the integration process.

Step 2: Source Account

Connect your Instagram account as the source. Ensure that your account is an Instagram Business Account, as personal accounts do not support insights data.

Step 3: Basic Settings

Configure the basic settings for your report:

  • Profiles: Select the Instagram profiles you wish to analyze.
  • Report type: Choose from the list of available report types that best fits your analysis needs.

Step 4: Report Period

Define the period for your report:

  • Start date: Specify the start date from which you want to begin collecting data.
  • End date: Define the end date for your data collection period.

Step 5: Metrics and Dimensions (for demography report only)

Select the metrics and dimensions that you want to include in your report:

  • Metrics: Select the specific metrics you wish to analyze within the demography report.
  • Dimensions: Choose the dimensions that will provide context to your metrics, such as age, gender, and location.

4. Transform your data with Coupler.io

5. Set up your data destination

Continue setting up the integration depending on the system you want to import data to. Select your tool from the list of supported data destinations and follow the relevant setup guide.
