1. Set up your data source

1.1. Select an application: Microsoft Advertising

1.2. Connect a Microsoft Advertising account

  • Click "Connect".
  • Log in to the selected Microsoft Advertising account. 
  • Provide needed consent.

1.3. Select Microsoft Advertising account which belongs to your source account 

You may have several accounts under your Microsoft Advertising credentials, please select the account you want to pull data from.

1.4. Set up basic settings

  • Select Report type you want to fetch:

  • Select Start date & End date of the report you would like to receive

Microsoft Ads API kepts reporting data for specified periods of time. You will receive "The specified report time contains an invalid custom date range end. Please submit a report request with valid start and end dates for the custom date range." error in case you requested date range out of provided by Microsoft Ads API.

Numbers in table below represent months. Check this Microsoft Ads API doc to get retention period for other reports.

  • Select Split data by period:
    • Summary - if you want to see totals for the selected period
    • Select other option to split data 1 line per 1 week, month, etc.

1.5. Select addional dimensions

E.g. for Campaign performance report in advance to common dimensions like Campaign id and name you can add advanced:

2. Set up your data destination

Continue setting up the integration depending on the system you want to import data to. Select your tool from the list of supported data destinations and follow the relevant setup guide.

3. Update your data automatically on schedule

Turn on "Automatic data refresh" in the importer so your data remains up-to-date in the destination without requiring manual updates. 

You can schedule data imports at specific intervals (e.g., hourly, daily, weekly) and/or days, allowing you to have up-to-date information available for analysis, reporting, or decision-making. This automation enhances efficiency and ensures your reports or dashboards are always populated with the latest data.
