A user is leaving the company

What to do if a user is leaving the company and you want to continue having access to their Coupler.io importers?

Possible scenarios

1. A user is a member of your company's shared account (you can see them on your Users page)

If that is the case, all importers the user created in your company's shared account will continue being present in it after this user's profile is deleted or removed from your Users list. You will continue seeing this user's importers in the [All importers] tab:

One thing we would recommend is, in order to be able to edit this user's importers in the future, please ask the user to make their connections Shared before leaving:

2. A user is not a member of your company's shared account (you cannot see them on your Users page)

In that case, importers created by that user would be stored in their personal account and you would not have access to them. To transfer the importers from the user's personal account into your company's shared one, please reach our support at contact@coupler.io team specifying the following:

  • your request to merge the account of the needed user with your company's account;
  • the email address of that user and the admin email address of your company's account;
  • add the user whose account needs to be merged with your company's account to CC of your email, so that we have a confirmation from them on this action.

3. A user is a member of your company's shared account but also has a separate personal account

In that case, 

  • all importers this user created in your company's shared account will continue being present in it as described in p.1
  • all importers they created in their personal account would be stored there, and you won't have access to them as described in p.2

If the importers from the personal account need to be moved to the company's shared one, reach out to our support team as described in p.3. 

To do

1. Check if user who's leaving the company is a member of your company's shared account (you can see them on your Users page)

2. Check if you can see the importers created by this user in the [All importers] tab:

3. If both of the above are true - ask the user who's leaving to make their connections Shared before they leave:
