What happens when I upgrade/downgrade the billing plan?

You can update your subscription at any moment. Please review how it works when you upgrade/downgrade your subscription.

1. Subscribe to a paid plan when the 14-day free trial ends

Once you defined what billing plan fits your needs (compare plans on our Pricing page), you can navigate to the billing page and subscribe to one of the plans:

1.1. Account usage/billing limits changes

When you subscribe from a 14-day free trial to any paid plan:

  • Your account usage resets
  • Runs, max data size, and user limits apply in accordance with a chosen paid plan
  • Features become available based on the selected plan (e.g. webhooks and data stitching features are not available in Starter plan)
  • The minimum data refresh interval is applied based on the selected plan (i.e. Daily in the Starterplan, 30-min in Squad)

You can review your account usage and billing period end date on the billing page:

You also can use the Account Usage page to review usage statistics details and the User page for user management details.

1.2. What happens with importers or settings that are not supported in my billing plan?

For example, you set up a Salesforce importer to run each 15 minutes during your 14-day free trial. Then you subscribed to the Squad plan that does not support the Salesforce data source and the 30-minute data refresh interval is the minimum available.

Your importer will not run on schedule and you will not be able to run it manually. You can upgrade your plan (in this example, from Squad to Business) to have this importer up and running. If you prefer to stay on the selected billing plan without these options supported, you still can edit this importer or delete it.

2. Upgrade a billing plan

If you upgrade your billing plan (subscribe to a more expensive plan), we'll calculate the difference between the old and new plans to apply a prorated charge to the rest of the billing period.

2.1. Account usage/billing limits changes

When you upgrade a billing plan:

  • Your account usage doesn't reset
  • Your billing period end date is not changed
  • Runs, max data size, and user limits increase in accordance with a chosen billing plan
  • More data sources become available
  • More frequent data refresh intervals become available

When you change the billing period from Monthly to Annual or vice versa (for the same billing plan):

  • Your account usage resets
  • Your billing period end date is changed

3. Downgrade a billing plan

If you downgrade your billing plan (subscribe to a cheaper plan), we will recalculate the price of the plan for the current billing period and use the money that you already paid for the higher plan to pay for the rest of the billing period. The difference between the old and new billing plans will be accumulated on your Stripe balance and used for the next payments. The price for your new subscription will apply to the next billing period.

3.1. Account usage/billing limits changes

When you downgrade a billing plan:

  • Your account usage doesn't reset
  • Runs, max data size, and user limits decrease in accordance with a chosen paid plan
  • Fewer features are available (e.g. no data stitching and webhooks in the Starter plan)
  • Less frequent data refresh intervals are available

4. Cancel paid subscription

When you cancel your paid subscription, your account is automatically moved to the 14-day free trial state. In this case, your account usage doesn't reset and your account limits depend on your trial state:

  • If your trial is still active, you will be able to use all the features of the free trial. Read more.
  • If your trial is already expired, you will be able to use your account in View Only mode. Read more.
