Why does Coupler.io add-on ask permission to access my Google Account?

When installing Coupler.io add-on, Coupler.io will request to grant the below-mentioned permissions.

Table of contents

  1. See, edit and create your spreadsheets in Google Drive
  2. Connect to an external service
  3. Allow this application to run when you are not present
  4. Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications

1. See, edit and create your spreadsheets in Google Drive

Our add-on requires these rights to enable data importing from the selected app (data source) to a chosen by a user spreadsheet (data destination).

2. Connect to an external service

Coupler.io requires this right to be able to connect Google Sheets to a third-party app in order to provide users with data importing functionality.

3. Allow this application to run when you are not present

Our add-on supports automatic Data Refresh functionality, which means that it requires access to Google Sheets to run scheduled updates even when a user is not present.

4. Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications

Coupler.io has a sidebar view (called Dashboard) which allows users to set up the add-on, add new data importers, edit/delete the existing ones, and perform other actions supported by the add-on.
