Troubleshooting why the data flow is not visible in the channel

The Coupler.io Slack bot can list the available data flows for any channel that it is a part of. When it fails to do so or lists an incomplete list, there could be multiple causes. This article will go through the causes and how to fix the underlying issue.

  1. The simplest answer is that there is no data flow created in Coupler.io with the Slack destination. The Slack bot can only fetch the data flow if it exists with the Slack destination.
  2. Misconfigured channel setting. Make sure that the destination of the data flow is properly configured, meaning all the channels that need to have access to the data flow are selected.
  3. Failed data flow run. The Slack bot won't see the data flow if it never ran successfully. In this case, resolve the underlying issue or contact the Coupler.io support for help.
  4. The channel is tied to the wrong Coupler.io account. At any time the Slack bot can access data flows from one Coupler.io account. To check which account the channel is currently using, type /couplerio select-organization in the channel. A popup will show the currently selected account as well as all the other available ones. Choose the one that contains the needed data flow.

In case none of these methods work, don't hesitate to contact support
