Claude destination setup

Coupler.io’s integration with Claude (an AI assistant) lets you bring your business data directly into an AI-powered environment for fast, conversational analysis. Instead of coding, you can use natural language to explore marketing reports, financial metrics, or operational data flows. By connecting Coupler.io to Claude (either desktop or web), you can create data pipelines once in Coupler.io and then interact with that data in real time within Claude—asking questions, running tools, and uncovering insights without leaving your AI assistant's interface.

Coupler.io supports integration with both the Claude desktop and web, although the setup process is different for them.

Claude desktop

  1. Download Claude Desktop and register.
  2. Navigate to the application's Settings > Extensions.
  3. Click "Browse extensions", select Coupler.io from the list, and install it.
    1. Note: there is no search, and the extensions are not in any order.
  4. Once Claude asks you for the access token, generate it on Coupler.io' AI integrations page and paste it to Claude.
  5. Enable the extension.

Claude web

  1. Register a Claude account.
  2. Open the Settings from your user (bottom left corner) and go to Connectors.
  3. Click "Browse connectors", select Coupler.io from the list, and click Connect.
    1. Note: if you are using a Team or Enterprise plan, you need to be an admin to connect the connector.
  4. In the Connectors menu, once again, click Connect and log in to Coupler.io.

Using Coupler.io with Claude

  1. In Coupler.io, create a data flow that you’d like to explore or analyze in Claude.
    1. For the destination, choose Claude. There is no separate destination for desktop and web.
  2. In Claude, open a new chat and start chatting with your data:
    1. Ask questions about the dataset.
    2. When Claude suggests or requires it, allow the necessary tools to run to fetch or process the data.
  3. Iterate between Coupler.io (data prep) and Claude (analysis) for a smooth, interactive workflow.
