Troubleshooting: User does not have sufficient permissions for this action on this page

Issue description

In Facebook Page Insights source when trying to get 'My pages statistics' or 'My pages post statistics' reports you might get an error "User does not have sufficient permissions for this action on this page"

How to fix the issue

Check your page permissions:

A Facebook account with either Administrator access to the connected Page, or if you're using Business Manager, Page Editor access to the Page.

If you're using the new Pages experience, you need Partial Access to the linked Facebook account.

Issue may occur due to separate access settings added in Facebook Business Manager and Facebook Page Settings (that are available in Facebook directly).

Here are the steps how to make sure needed permissions are enabled:

1. Page owner needs to go here https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=profile_access and make sure that you are not added as a user with Page or Task access:

   

2. Check permissions assigned to you in Facebook Business Manager: https://business.facebook.com/settings/people
   open link -> Select Business that owns needed page -> Open 'your username' settings -> There should be Partial access to the page provided

   

3. if needed - provide partial access and save changes
   

   

After these actions are done - you need to:

1. Remove Coupler.io from the list of Business integrations on your Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=business_tools
   

   

2. Delete the existing one and create a new Facebook connection in Coupler.io.
