27-11-23: The month of templates and integrations

The end of November is the time to prepare an Advent Calendar and enjoy some monthly recap news from Coupler.io.

What’s new

New data sources

In November, the bees of the Coupler.io development team released 4 new data sources: Instagram Public data, Instagram Insights, Intercom, and Amazon Ads.

I’d like to draw your attention to Amazon Ads since it has one peculiarity compared to other ad sources supported by Coupler.io. Well, the setup flow is the same but you won’t be able to preview your data at once. Why? Amazon states that it may take up to three hours to build a report🫠

In practice, it usually takes no longer than 30 minutes but still, you’ll have to wait.

Ready-to-go templates

Coupler.io is a solution to turn raw data into meaningful reports easily. As a rule, you have to create these reports on your own. We decided to optimize this process for you by introducing report templates. You’ll find them in a separate tab on the left sidebar or if you click here.

These are preset dashboards designed in Looker Studio to kick off your reporting. You can preview what these reports look like with data and then reuse them for your needs. Click Try this report and connect your source to load data to a predesigned dashboard.

Currently, we provide 14 reports for PPC, web analytics, e-commerce, sales, and event tracking. This number will grow month by month, and we’re not going to limit ourselves to Looker Studio only. New dashboards in Google Sheets and Power BI are expected in 2024. Stay tuned!

Misc updates

New integrations and templates are undisputedly the Coupler.io showrunners for this month. At the same time, our code magicians not only create new things but also do their best to improve the existing user experience. And here is what they did.

HubSpot integration upgrade

In October, we increased the number of data entities for the HubSpot integration. In November, we upgraded it even more by adding the capability to fetch HubSpot custom objects.

Outdated preview state

Let’s say you had data loaded for preview on one of your importers. After that, you were absent for more than 3 hours and then got back to your importer. You open the data preview and see the following notification.

You can update the data on the preview or see the old data - you probably want to check out the previous transformations you did.

However, you may see this notification even earlier than 3 hours if you changed some settings of your data source, for example, added one more metric to fetch.

Data Join [beta version]

You know that Coupler.io allows you to stitch data from multiple sources. It’s a good feature but for advanced reporting, it’s better to have the capability to join data. And we’re working on giving you this capability.

The data join feature has not been released yet for the public. However, you can try it as a beta user. Contact our support team to request access.

These are all novelties for November. Keep in mind that X-mas is coming and Santa Claus Coupler.io will prepare some awesome new features for all our users🎄

Enjoy Coupler.io, enjoy your reports, and enjoy your data-driven decisions!
