27-10-22: Stitch data functionality is live!

What’s new

  1. Stitch data from multiple sources
  2. Generate webhooks to trigger your importers

1. Stitch data from multiple sources

Data stitching is the process of combining data sets taken from different sources. You probably had to stitch data manually before if you wanted to combine data imported from, for example, Airtable and Google Sheets. You won’t have to waste your time on this manual operation since Coupler.io has released a Data Stitching functionality!

To use it, you need to set up the first source as usual and then click the + Add one more source button and set up another source for the data you want to stitch.

You can add as many data sources as needed. The rest of the flow is unchanged - configure the destination and schedule to automate exporting and stitching of your data.

2. Generate webhooks to trigger your importers

Two months ago, we announced that you can use ingoing webhooks to trigger your importers. It’s a cool functionality that most of our users have actively used. The only drawback was that you had to contact customer support to generate a webhook for your importer. Now, you won’t need to go this way. Instead, you can generate the webhook on the importer view page - scroll down and you’ll see a respective block.

Click the Generate webhook button. After that, you’ll get a URL to trigger your importer with a POST request.

This option is only available for ingoing webhooks, i.e. to trigger importers. For outgoing webhooks (for importers to trigger events), you still need to contact our customer support. However, we’re planning to add the possibility to set up outgoing webhooks from UI in the short term.

These are all the release notes we wanted to share with you. Stay tuned since some awesome news is coming soon!
