Most common issues with setting up Dropbox source

  1. File picker displays data from a different Dropbox account
  2. The shared file is not visible in the Dropbox file picker

File picker displays data from a different Dropbox account

If you have several Dropbox accounts connected to Coupler.io, you can face some issues while working with the file picker.

Dropbox opens a list of files for your current active account that you are signed in to.

In case you need to switch accounts, sign out from your current account on https://www.dropbox.com/ and sign in to the needed account in the file picker.

  1.  Sign out from the Dropbox account in the file picker. 
  2. Sign in to the needed Dropbox account in the file picker.
  3. Select a file from a list on a correct Dropbox account.

The shared file is not visible in the Dropbox file picker

To select a file from another Dropbox account, the file must be shared the following way:

  • On Dropbox Account_A, create a folder and place the Excel or CSV file to be shared to this folder.
  • Share the folder with Dropbox Account_B that you connected to Coupler.io.

  • Go to shared files in Account_B through Dropbox UI
  • Click Add to Dropbox to accept adding a shared folder to your Dropbox.
  • After this, the shared folder will be available in the file picker:
