Troubleshooting: Sign In to Google requested in file picker

This is a known issue that can occur due to different reasons - find below its overview and possible solutions on how to fix it.

Issue overview:

The next window is visible instead of the Google file picker:

After you try to Sign In several times - you got the next message:

Reasons for such behavior are next:

  1. you are logged in few Google Accounts in the same browser and Google does not figure out the proper account to use;
  2. you are using a browser with addons installed that change your privacy settings (i.e. Brave browser); 
  3. you are using Coupler.io in Incognito mode of browser and have 3d party cookies blocked in the privacy settings of your browser;
  4. you are using Coupler.io in common mode and have all cookies blocked;
  5. your connection to Google Sheets was disabled or expired.


Solutions how to fix the issue:

1. In case you are using several Google Accounts:

  1. Sign out from all Google accounts.
  2. Sign in with the Google account that you used to install Coupler.io (it is required for this account to be the first one you sign in to).

2. In case you are using tools in a browser that change your privacy settings:

  1. Disable such addons in the browser.
  2. Restart the browser or reload the page (what will be asked in the browser itself).

3. In case you blocked some cookies usage (or they were blocked as default settings of the browser):

4. In case your connection was disabled:

  1. Navigate to the Connections page.
  2. Select the "Destinations" tab.
  3. Click the "Reconnect" button.
  4. Click the "Reconnect account" button.
  5. Proceed with log in to your Google Account.
